Preparation method Belo
The preparation method is the same for all rolls, but the amount of liquid varies.
Check the packaging for the correct quantities!
- Place the contents in a bowl
- Place 1-3 eggs in a measuring cup and fill up to 290ml (at Belo)
- Add this to the bowl together with 1 tbsp olive oil
- Mix gently with a spoon and then let it rest for 10 minutes

Baking Tips for the Best Low Carb Buns
New to baking with Nativ? Here are some best practices and tips for the best results!

Do not knead
Since the rolls are gluten-free, you don't need to knead the bread. Mix everything together with a spoon, as directed, and let it rest for 10 minutes.
Then, simply shape the bread roll with your hands, bringing the mixture together into an oval shape without cracks or holes. A little pressure is okay, but kneading will push all the air out of the mixture. A Nativ loaf will never be as airy as a loaf from the bakery, but it will rise well.

The Plant-based version
For a good result it is important to preheat the oven properly to 200°C.
It can be made without an egg, but the bun will then need 60 minutes to rise in the oven.
Weigh an extra 150ml of water per roll.
Then you have:
Bollywood: 200g+150g=350g water
Berlin: 150g + 150g = 300g water
Belo: 140g + 150g = 290g water
Don't have a scale? Then measure very precisely in your measuring cup (1g = 1ml).
Always let the bun cool in the oven for 10 minutes and cool completely before slicing.

Fat is essential
Don't forget to add 1 generous tablespoon of olive oil or melted coconut oil.
Without the fat, the bun will become dry and crumbly.
Baking is chemistry, or rather magic ;-)

Do not use too much water
Many measuring cups are not very accurate, resulting in too much water being mixed into the bread mix.
This will cause the bread to not rise evenly and to remain sticky.
That's why I indicate the amount of hot water in grams.
Don't have a scale?
1g water = 1ml water
Measure accurately.
Did you accidentally use too much water?
Form into rolls and bake for 45 minutes or place the mixture in a baking tin and bake at 200°C for 50-60 minutes.
